Hot seat
The teacher will show the class a picture, word, or sentence. Students explain the words to a picked student, who is 'in hot seat'. Students take turns in the hot seat. The person to guess more words wins.
The ball is at your court
Activating vocabulary. The teacher makes a list of active vocabulary, Student A gets a ball with an active word they need to use, once the word was used, Student A throws the ball to Student B, who needs to use a different word from the list.

Dominoes
The teacher makes word-definition, word-picture pairs. The content is randomly put into cards, which are distributed equally among the players. The players try to find a pair for words or pictures together. The last person to keep a card loses.
Battleship
Place 4 ships on the board (1 - for 4 squares, 1 - for 3, 1 for 2 and 1 for 1 square). Take turns to guess where the ships of your opponent are. If you shoot a ship, you need to make a sentence. If you miss, it's your opponent's turn.The winner is the player who finds all the 4 ships first.
Who said this?
Students enter sentences anonymously. When everybody is done, the students need to match the statements with the person from the group, who they think was the author of the statement.
